> Game Crashes

If you are experiencing consistent game crashes, you can try the following:

Make sure you have the latest version of Idle Slayer Core mod

The Idle Slayer Core mod is required to prevent game crashes. Download it here.

Clear IL2CPP_Out Folder

Sometimes, especially after a new update, MelonLoader fails to generate files that allow modding to work. To remedy this, you can try the following:

  • Open the Idle Slayer game folder
  • Open the MelonLoader folder
  • Delete the il2cpp_out folder found in Dependencies\Il2CppAssemblyGenerator\Cpp2IL
  • Relaunch the game

> Help! This mod isn't working!

You may come across times where a specific mod isn't working. Here's what to do:

  • Make sure you are using the latest version of the affected mod.
  • Check if the mod requires any buttons to be pressed to activate
    - This is usually described on the Nexus Mods page, or exposed in the respective config file.
  • A game update may have broken the mod, in this case it will take some time for developers to update their mod to work with the latest version of the game.
  • Most mods require Idle Slayer Mods Core to be installed, and updated to the latest version.
  • Did you install MelonLoader correctly? Make sure you drag everything from the MelonLoader zip archive you downloaded into the Idle Slayer folder.
  • Mods need to be extracted into the Mods folder.
No .zip or .rar files should be here.

> How to edit config files

  • If the config you want to change doesn't exist, be sure to launch the game at least once.
  • Head to the UserData folder inside your Idle Slayer installation
  • Open the config file you want (usually named after the mod) to edit in any text editor (i.e. Notepad)
  • Change any values you want in there.
  • Restart the game

> Uninstalling the Mod Manager

To uninstall MelonLoader, do the following:

  1. Open your Idle Slayer game folder
  2. Delete the MelonLoader, UserData, UserLibs, Mods, and Plugins folder
  3. Delete the version.dll file
  4. Done!
